The Wanderer — more commonly known by the irreverent nickname, The Cheese, in reference to its Swiss cheese-like skin, and previously Evil Silhouette Guy when his identity was unknown — is an immensely powerful android created thousands of years ago by persons or lifeforms unknown. It is animated by the soul/residual lifeforce of any deceased being which possesses it.
History
The original host of the Cheese was a close friend of Linda Walkerton's known only as "David" (who both the yellow stripe of SEMME clothing and Walky's real first name would come from), accidentally sent back through time to the creation of the Cheese by a malfunctioning Martian Resurrection Chamber.
Over time, he became self-aware, and attempted to alter the timelines so that he would live happily with Linda; but as millennia passed, he forgot this, or ceased to care.
In recent times, he spent some time taunting the Head Alien, but when he finally showed himself openly in response to Sal's use of the Power Booster Rod, he injured most of the SEMME agents and personnel present, including snapping Sal's knee, but was defeated by Sal using the PBR itself — as it was the product of a different universe, he could not use or affect the PBR in any way, merely "feel" its use.
He was later summoned again by extradimensional energies - this time, the accidental travel of a "Science Fiction Club" into his universe, and claimed "Right of Salvage" as such, but was frustrated by the extradimensional magic of a "Hellnostril".
Angered, he sealed the rift, but was left slightly doubtful. Following this, he was summoned by Joyce's use of the Power Booster Rod twice — firstly, due to an attack from Dargon Chesterfield's extradimensional organisation, who he drove away from SEMME; then after Joyce had a crisis of faith and wanted to speak to the most powerful being she knew of.
Before too long, Head Alien's use of a reality-corrupting beam in Canada threw a spanner into the works. With the Cheese himself frozen in time, Joyce, Walky, Monkey Master, Sensitive Scanner and Head Alien himself gender-reversed and a continuity suckhole forming, Joe would apparently repair the Cheese just in time. In actuality, he was revived by the future soul of Walky being "nudged" into the Cheese post-death. He proceeded to seemingly destroy Head Alien and referred to him as "Gone." In actuality, Head Alien's soul would also enter the Cheese, and fight its way to the surface, first manifesting as an odd slowness of reaction and slight weakening, before Head Alien drove David's soul from the Cheese and took over.
Head Alien's own hubris would prove his downfall though, as he split himself between the Cheese body and Anti-Head Alien's stolen body. With Walky dead at Martian claws and concentrating on taunting Sal still further from AHA's body, Monkey Master and Alan would team, as Monkey Master threw Alan at the Cheese, and Alan would intangibly reset the Cheese's body at the cost of his own life, trapping Head Alien solely in AHA's body. Sal, red-eyed and angry, drove a spike through him and killed him.
With the Cheese's body seemingly vacant, Joyce, Sal and the other survivors hoped and prayed the deceased Walky had found his way to the Cheese's body. They were correct. Walky-as-Cheese froze the Martian attack, then teleported to retrieve the Power Booster Rod (and Daniel) from a warehouse — unlike the previous possessors of the Cheese, the half-Martian Walky could use the PBR from the Cheese's body and wiped out the Martian attack soon after.
Walky would leave the Cheese's body in the hope that a makeshift resurrection chamber would be able to reconsitute his own days afterward, though not before writing a letter for Joyce to read in the nine months his own body would take to regrow.
Powers
The Cheese is immensely powerful in every sense of the word, demonstrating telekinesis, teleportation, reality-warping and many other powers. Its only known weakness is extradimensional energy — i.e., energy not originating from its own universe. The Cheese is also vulnerable to alien mind-wiping technology, though it can only incapacitate the Cheese for a short time, and can be similarly halted if struck by an intangible object (e.g. Alan).
Furthermore, since the power of the Cheese seems to be a result of his suit's specific properties, the power of the Cheese can vary as a result of the mindset of the operator or the presence of multiple personalities within the suit. This was demonstrated during the Martian Invasion when the Cheese was unable to permanently stop the Martians.
It is unknown what became of the Cheese after Walky left it.
Alternate Cheese
Dargon Chesterfield's organisation fled to Walky's universe in an attempt to escape an alternate Cheese, who was left shocked as he took the Power Booster Rod's energy and apparently condemned this universe to premature heat death.
