Talk:It's Walky!
From Walkypedia!
Hey, is an article about the Walkyverse OK? It would have a small summary of all that the Walkyverse covers, from Roomies! to Joyce and Walky! Would help us determine the comics of the World of Willis. Would also mean we can have a Walkyverse-II which will feature the Head-Alien-II and detail what happened there due to Walky not joining SEMME. McFS 17:31, 14 February 2007 (CST)
This article is really long. Most of the sections correspond to large story arcs or specific storylines - perhaps these should be made into their own pages and one-paragraph summaries appear here? --Asimperson
- That's what I began to think when the Roomies! and It's Walky! storyline articles began to appear. If you want to summarize the stuff, feel free. Really, most of this is a summary, I barely touch the lighter storylines, and the longer ones need the exposition in order to make sense. McFS 04:08, 25 February 2007 (CST)
- Well, I'd hate to just throw out all the existing text, though. Hrm... on the comic search chapter list you can still see the original hierarchy of the chapters. Currently, pages are being made for each individual storyline (the smallest units), so what I'm thinking is that the summaries on this page could reflect the larger story arcs (i.e., "Year Zero", "Aliens Stole my Nachitos!", and so on) with links to the appropriate storyline within each arc. The existing text on this page can probably be utilized to help populate the storyline pages or for the summaries for the arcs.... does this make any sense?--Asimperson 04:14, 25 February 2007 (CST)
- Yes, I think this is the way to go. A story as long and complicated as this one needs to be described both in local detail and in terms of the overall story development, and it would probably improve the individual storyline pages (at least continuity-wise) if the introductions could be copied from, or paraphrased from, a continous description. I think this page should read a bit like an early film script treatment of a long novel. vermeil 07:58, 25 February 2007 (CST)
- I think I'll hold off until all the storylines are done, then completely rewrite the Roomies! and It's Walky! articles to include the brief summaries with links to the main articles inside it, whilst (hopefully) still being consistent and explanatory by itself. McFS 17:51, 27 February 2007 (CST)
- Hopefully, yes, but I wouldn't count on it. I think it would be more likely to look like it's been written by a thousand monkeys (not that Walky would mind). My own summaries are probably the worst. I believe I'm capable when it comes to the verbose description, but I can't really write a good summary to save my life. vermeil 02:54, 28 February 2007 (CST)

- Speaking of all this, does anyone know what Willis actually calls these divisions? I've been calling things like "Crash Course" a storylines, things like "The Alpha of the Omega" story arcs, and things like "It's Walky!: The Power of Cheese" just "parts" but I have no idea if that's correct. --Asimperson
- There seem to be three levels of division ([1]). I believe the top level is a chapter (e.g. "The Power of Cheese"), the middle level an arc (e.g. "The Alpha of the Omega"), and the bottom level a storyline (e.g. "Role Reversal").
- Well, if that's the case, 2/3 ain't bad. :) --Asimperson 02:56, 28 February 2007 (CST)

Jason's Informant
For "Wake" summary, the article implies that Penny gave Jason the information on Sal's whereabouts. However, the comic makes no such implication, and I don't think it would've been productive for JFO's goals at the time for Sal to be found. As for who else Jason could've slept with, well, I dunno, but I'm not sure it really matters. --Asimperson 00:23, 1 March 2007 (CST)
- Jason learned Sal's whereabouts from Hamburger Helper Guy. --ItsWalky 00:38, 1 March 2007 (CST)
