Talk:Abductee

Isn't this a category, not an article? Corect me (and it) if I'm wrong.

If there were a category, it would be Abductees, plural! I'm not sure if an Abductees category exists, or if it should. It would just be a clone of the "SEMME agents" category but without Jason. --ItsWalky 15:38, 18 February 2007 (CST)
And Alan. And Sal? Was Sal ever actually abducted? Anyways, a more suitable category would be "Non-abductees" as a sub-category in SEMME agents, if you wanted to keep it small. Jimbone 19:29, 25 February 2007 (CST)
_All_ SEMME agents, excepting Jason, were abductees. Alan I guess is also an exception as well (I always thought of Alan as higher up than the field agents anyway.) . But the abduction process is how they all got their powers, etc. Also, since I created this page, I'd like to justify its existence - the abduction process has a whole history and backstory sort of spread out over other articles. Additionally, throughout most of the comic's run, the exact nature of why these people were abducted is hidden. I wanted to present both the original story and the actual version which we learn in one of the last storylines. I just haven't really gotten around to it yet. --Asimperson 22:09, 25 February 2007 (CST)

Huh.

HA says here that there were "thousands" of abductees, but the article says exactly 500. Where's the 500 figure from? Hooper X 16:08, 28 February 2007 (CST)

Bart O'Ryan has a list of families with abducted children [1], but whether this is accurate, or whether families have more than one abductee in the family. McFS 16:17, 28 February 2007 (CST)
That list might not be complete. Also, there are probably some orphan abductees, abductees whose parents don't care what happened to them, or simply never pursued things further. -hx
I'd like to think I didn't make that up, but I can't remember where I got the number from. It definitely wasn't from Bart O'Ryan. So in the face of that, let's roll with HA for now and I'll try to see if I can find somewhere else I got that from. --Asimperson
Ah-ha! Apparently, it's stated somewhere that there are 500 SEMME agents (see the SEMME article), so I guess I figured there was a 1:1 correspondence between SEMME agents and abductees. I guess based on what the HA said this isn't necessarily the case.--Asimperson 23:13, 28 February 2007 (CST)
