Supply and Demand gives us an update on the adventures of Jason and Sal. It is the second storyline in the "The Alpha of the Omega" story arc. There are two major plot points: Sal tries to see Danny but gets an angry girlfriend instead, and then Jason, in a stark role reversal, does a little angsting.

Story

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Never underestimate a woman willing to die...

We see Jason and Sal in their apartment. Sal is dressed up and wearing some headphones, both of which cause Jason to surmise that a) she's up to something and b) she doesn't want him stopping her via brainwashing codewords. As an additional deterrent, she's listening to country music. Sal, expecting a fight, declares that she's going to see Danny and there's nothing Jason can do about it. Jason agrees. Disappointed, Sal goes off to Danny's apartment.

Making sure to actually use the door, but forgetting to call ahead and see if Danny is actually there, Sal is greeted by a less-than-happy Billie. Billie declares that she's willing to die in order to keep Danny with her and lands the first punch. (As a side note, this also triggers a disturbance in Joe's libido-force.) Sal, afraid of hurting Billie, refuses to fight back at first, but a few well-placed words later Sal decides to give her a little taste of pain.

Unfortunately for Sal, this is when she finds out that Billie had learned to fight from Walky.

The fight really gets going after this and Sal realizes that "for the first time years...this is a completely on-purpose selfish act." So well-placed kicks and a broken door later, Billie declares she'll fight until Sal kills her or Sal promises to leave, but at this point it's obvious Sal is getting the better of her. Billie finally collapses with one more jab to the face. Sal leaves, but not before watching Danny and Billie exchange some words about just calling the cops when a thief tries to break in.

Angst Angst Revolution!

Jason remarks that Sal is back early. Sal proceeds to curse at herself for being so foolish, declaring the evening to be "the worst night ever," a claim which Jason finds dubious because Sal's sweater is inside-out. (She took it off during the fight.) Sal curses at herself some more for trying to be "normal" and for the fact she's actually folding her sweater, so she makes a dent in the wall with it. Lamenting that she's always going to be alone and different than everyone else, she asks Jason if he has any idea how that feels. Jason then makes light of the fact that he was born just a little too late into the wrong dimension, thus making him worthless to his friends, father, and community. Fleeing this de-facto exile, he then found himself embedded into another secret organization, filled with "genetically-enhanced supermen." So, as a matter fact, Jason does know how that feels.

Sal apologizes, but he doesn't stop there. He says that meeting Penny again reminded him of how much time he spent trying to change her ways and that he's just doing it all again with Sal and is sick of it. So he walks out.

Sal ponders the situation. She decides to act preemptively and heads down to the bar. Unfortunately for Jason, the bar is closed and he's stuck trying to negotiate with a "video game of dubious entertainment value" (Dance Dance Revolution) for either "a drink, or a gun and a duck."

Sal asks if "it" bothers him, which Jason takes to mean if it bothers him that his "father is an evil overlord from another dimension," to which he replies, "possibly". Sal promises not to be the only emotional one from then on and asks to be friends again, insofar as she can be friends with someone who gets a negative score in DDR. (Jason claims this to be out of spite.) Sal gets some new duds and they go off to London all dramatic like.
