The Eleventh storyline of Roomies!, "SAL?!", contains 17 black-and-white strips.

Synopsis

Danny returns to his dorm, not surprisingly, Room #128, although he is later revealed to live on the third floor (breaking normal numbering conventions), to find Sal inside. Danny is understandably confused, having broken up with Sal in a previous storyline. Sal tells Danny that, although they broke up, she still likes him, and wanted to see him again. Sal reveals that she ran away from her parents, a plot point explained more in detail later.

Unfortunately for Danny, Joyce is waiting downstairs with her parents to go to dinner. After Danny doesn't takes longer than three seconds to come down, she goes on the hunt for him. After tracking down Joe to get his keys to go up the elevator (and revealing a bit of herself that would come back to haunt her), she bursts into Danny's room, only to find it empty. Down the hall, Danny is introducing Sal to Alex and his roommate David.

When leaving Alex's room, Danny looks out into the hall and sees Joyce, still searching for him. Panicked, Danny asks if there's another way out of the room, and Sal mentions that they could go out the window (it's how she got in). Successfully escaping Joyce, despite Danny's three-story fall, Danny begs Sal to go home, but she refuses. Giving up, Danny gives her some extra money, and says good-bye for what will be a very long time.

Hoping to find out what happened to Sal that she would run away, Danny calls the number he has for her old home. He is dismayed to hear that Sal's family left no forwarding address.

Not long after, Sarah comes to Danny's room to get him to talk to Joyce, who is sobbing in her room. This is quickly derailed, as Joe answers the door, and he and Sarah immidiately kiss.
