Ronald Reagan, former actor, governor, and President of the United States, is many things. Patriot. Great Communicator. Protector of American life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
But one thing he isn't is deceased.
Reanimated from the grave by unknown means, Ronnie now works as an employee of a small toy store. In this second life, he bestows wisdom on his (much) younger coworkers and happily shrinks from the spotlight to clean up the vomit in aisle 14. If his skills are needed, however, he eagerly rises to the challenge. No things are impossible for the former President, for he is enabled by the powerful aura of Patriotism, a God-given force no Communist can dream to understand.
History
Public life
For more information, see Ronald Reagan (Wikipedia).
A lifelong admirer of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (though he took a much different path in politics than FDR), Ronald Reagan had a long and fruitful career, starting as an actor, leading into becoming president of the Screen Actor's Guild, Governor of California, and culminated in two terms as President of the United States, making him one of only two employees at Shortpacked! to hold public office (the other being Robin DeSanto.)
Officially, Reagan apparently died in 2004 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Since his reappearance, however, information has appeared suggesting this may have been fabricated to allow him to avoid the charity work, public service, and other activities ex-presidents traditionally fill their days with.[1]
Shortpacked!
After overhearing Ethan tell Amber that bringing back anything from the 1980's was like money in the bank, Galasso decided to bring him back. He now is an employee at Shortpacked!.
Natural charisma has led Reagan to be a great toy salesman, selling more CPRs than any other employee that doesn't resort to physical violence or promises of sexual gratification.[2]
Due to the likely questionably-legal methods Galasso used to "bring back" Ronnie, as well as other matters that would affect Shortpacked! and Galasso negatively if they were looked into, Reagan's revival has required an occasional cover-up to prevent it from drawing unwanted attention. Most notably, Reagan was diverted from a chance encounter with former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush during their tour attempting to raise funds for relief from Hurricane Katrina.[3]
A positive side effect of this cover-up, as Ronnie has noted, is that a dollar coin with his face on it will still be made in the near future, despite the usual policy of not making coins featuring the faces of still-living people.[4]
