Rachel's a mechanical whiz with a (seemingly advanced) college degree but worked as a checkout girl. She had an antagonistic relationship with Joe when they first met, although she (unknown to them both) had a relationship with him online as Supergirl79[1]. It was their online relationship and the feelings Joe developed for her that caused him to re-evaluate how he related to women. They are currently dating after Robin encouraged Joe to go out with her.
Together, they built Ultra Car and attacked the Martian Mothership. She currently works with him at Rosenthal Robotics.
