Perverse Sexual Lust is the last storyline in the "Wake" story arc. In this storyline, Joe joins Squad 48 and Joyce is just a little jealous.

"Perverse Sexual Lust" is also a common term among IW! forumites, who often abbreviate the term as PSL.

Story

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Joe and Joyce are off to Alan's office to see what squad Joe will be assigned to. On the way, Joyce reminisces about her first week with Squad 128, but then remembers that they had convinced her that her job was to wash the jet. Alan introduces them right away, and Joe is much more excited about the prospect of joining SEMME's sexiest squad than Joyce is. Alan informs them of their new mission, and the Squad promises they "handle" Joe with the utmost care.

Joyce goes back to her apartment and informs Jason of Joe's assignment. Apparently, 48's reputation proceeds them, as Jason says Joe is a "bloody lucky man" because that squad "sure know[s] how to keep the fluids flowing." Jason is also prepared to relay what part of Mandy's anatomy she has a tattoo on, but Joyce doesn't particularly care. Jason senses Joyce is probably a little jealous. She claims she isn't as they "just have fun together" but that she will be unable to compete with 48. Jason says Joyce's personality puts her above them, but Joyce reminds him that Joe dry-humps the sofa. Later, Mike offers to cheer her up with a nice date and some anal sex, which Joyce declines.

Daniel makes a rare apperance as Joyce explains why she can't sleep that night. She thinks about how Joe is probably having "premarital hanky-panky" with 48 and thinks about Joe ripping his shirt off.

She screams.

Walky runs into the room. Joyce explains she had a "very bad and dirty thought". Walky shrugs it off, but then she admits it was was about Joe at which point Walky wants some more information. Joyce is scared and Walky asks, "Why Joe?!" and points out there are other guys around, including himself, but Joyce says Walky is "sorta almost a guy."

Bothered by the whole thing the next day, Walky asks Dina if he's sexy. She doesn't really have an answer.

Joyce heads over to Squad 48's apartment to visit Joe, and her (and us) meet 48 for the first time. Marcie answers the door and kinda creeps Joyce out. Guns is frustrated that her favorite group has "sold out", as their CD is available at Target. Mandy and Joe comes back from the store, and she thanks him and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Joyce moves from creeped out to freaked out. (If she was a just little jealous earlier, she's very jealous at this point.) Joyce bolts and Joe skips the wrestling to track her down.

Joyce kicks herself for falling for Joe, wondering why he can't show his sensitive side more often. In a bit of foreshadowing, perhaps, Joyce decides to show him that she's not just a little girl. Joe catches up to her, and she gives him a mediocre kiss. Joe just wants to remain friends, but Joyce thinks he's scared of a real relationship.

The storyline closes with both Walky and Joyce (separately) approaching Jason for advice on their sex lives, since Sal is gone. ("Suddenly the source of Sal's mental problems becomes crystal clear," he quips.)
