Nathan is the long-term internet boyfriend of Amber, using the handle FirstNate. For ten years they have been chatting, but he did not see her in person until 2006. This was after Amber flew to Iowa with Robin. Things became awkward because Meredith, an old crush of Nathan, was now living with him after getting a divorce from her husband. Amber kissed Nathan in front of Meredith, becoming the first girl that Nathan has kissed.
