Linda Walkerton (born Linda Mitchell) was one of the first SEMME agents and mother to Sal and Walky, and adoptive mother to Beef. She was also the second Big Boss of SEMME after the death-by-Walky of Anthony McHenry, Sr.

While it was initially suggested early on that she was a crazy homicidal monster that wiped out an entire species over her dead boyfriend, it was eventually revealed that the homicidal part wasn't true.

She was still really dang crazy.

Linda Mitchell grew up in Reno, Nevada in a small community that changed little. So when Anthony McHenry, Sr. moved in from out-of-state, she became infatuated with him. Following him home one night, she discovered his secret, that his father was an agent at Area 51. He had stolen a Martian spaceship and was being chased by the Head Alien. His son fought the Head Alien, and pledged his life to the government in order to save his father. She went with him, and the pair fought the Martians who threatened the world.

As anti-alien agents in the pre-SEMME days, Linda and Anthony had thrilling adventures in glamorous locales. Seeking a sense of normalcy, Linda began seeing David, an average nobody whose boredom revealed her stress. But when he was supposedly killed by the Martians, she went into a blind rage and took his body to the Martian Embassy. Intending to resurrect him, she stormed the embassy and placed his body into a chamber. Yet it turned out he had been killed by Dargon Chesterfield, who followed her there and killed her in the embassy. The struggle resulted in the malfunction of David's chamber and the creation of The Cheese.

Nine months later, she was resurrected with Martian DNA. Brainwashed by the JFO, she killed all the Martians on Earth with the Power Booster Rod. Yet the Martians would return, so she went to the Head Alien and helped him abduct children and augment their DNA with Martian DNA. With his help, she also hid her daughter Sal away from JFO by swapping her with Beef. This was actually a ruse to focus the Head Alien's and JFO's sights upon her and away from the stronger of the twins, David Walkerton.

After the Head Alien betrayed her for his own devices, she helped Anthony McHenry in the running of SEMME, and had him hire David and Beef as SEMME staff. When it was revealed that David and Sal were actually related, she told Sal about her past, leaving out the actions of JFO. In return, Sal later told her about her past and how the Head Alien killed her adoptive parents.

When Anthony was killed during a mission in the Bermuda Triangle, Linda was made Big Boss of SEMME. This prompted Sal to quit SEMME, forcing her into the hands of JFO. During the Culmination storyline, the secret of her resurrect was revealed, and it was claimed she was framed for the genocide of the Martians. As SEMME edged closer to the truth of JFO, they were attacked by Penny with intent of removing all evidence of their existence. When this failed, Linda had Sal and Jason spy on JFO.

On the eve of the Martian invasion, with JFO attacking SEMME HQ after it was disbanded by the government, Linda lead the struggle in the labs to cure Squadron 135 of their brainwashing. However, when Penny revealed that Linda had helped create the abductees and that SEMME was a creation of JFO, she fell into shock.

After the invasion, she was arrested and put into solitary confinement. Head Alien II recently visited her in her cell for unknown reasons.
