It's Walky is the second comic by David Willis set in the It's Walky! universe. It's the dawn of the new millennium, and Earth is under attack by midget aliens in purple spacesuits, a giant robot monkey, British ninjas, and an omnipotent cheesehead. But no one there notices, because they're too busy trying to sleep with each other.
Whilst It's Walky officially started after Roomies! finished, several key storylines had taken place during the run of Roomies!, and several characters in It's Walky were introduced during its run. Elements of what were to come began early on when the aliens abducted Joe and Joyce, and the aliens returned later on to capture Sal.
History
Pre-Year Zero
In the 1980s, the Head Alien, a being of great charisma and a legion of clones began to abduct young children and augment their genes with Alien DNA. He gave them a number of strengths that would soon set them above their peers. This included but was not limited to super-strength, super-speed, super-genius, and in Joe Rosenthal's case super-libido. He also granted them the ability to control Alien technology with the intent of creating his own super-army. This period of abduction was balanced by the organization SEMME, which was made up of abductees who had discovered their powers. Led by Anthony McHenry, Sr., they were a dedicated force against the aliens.
In the 1990s, the Head Alien continued to monitor his subjects, as well as several other key characters. This included the girlfriend of Danny Wilcox in Roomies!, Sal Walters. Pursuring her and her parents up a highway, the Head Alien blew their car off the road and offered Sal a place at his side. Declining, she abandoned her parents, prompting the Head Alien to kill them. He set upon mind-wiping her until the Man In Black saved her.
Running from the scene, she first fled to Danny. However she didn't tell him what had happened, knowing that he couldn't understand. She ran away further, eventually meeting Jason in a bar in Colorado. Here she battled the Head Alien again but was saved by Alan Rees in a helicopter.
Later on that night, Sal and Jason teamed up with SEMME to save Walky and Beef from the Head Alien. The two later joined Squad 128. Sal became close to the leader of Squad 128, Tony and they began dating. Squad 128 later helped save Joe Rosenthal and Joyce Brown from the aliens as well. Whilst the Head Alien tortured Joyce with porno films, Squad 128 captured him and freed her. In the process, SEMME recruited Joyce amongst their ranks.
It was here that Joyce first met Walky, when she woke up after he sang "Do Re Mi" from the Sound of Music. However, she was disgusted at what she had witnessed and used a Mind-Wiper to erase her memories. She was later trained to become a member of Squad 128, using a jetpack and long-range blast gun, or BFG.
In the summer of 1999, several of the other Aliens tried to use the Power Booster Rod, but were interrupted by Squad 128 arriving to capture it and them. With the Head Alien and his closest followers imprisoned at the heart of SEMME HQ, the stage was set for It's Walky to begin.
Year Zero
On the eve of the year 2000, a mysterious affliction hit all the abductees of the Head Alien across the world. Falling into a deep coma, only a few members of SEMME were left awake at midnight, including Jason, Joyce, and Sal. When Sal quickly disappeared to find the cause, Jason and Joyce returned to SEMME apartments with their comatose friends. Joined by Walky, they used his pickup truck to take the limp abductees to SEMME HQ. Meanwhile, the Head Alien himself had left to retrieve the control device that allow him to command his abductee army.
Joyce and Jason were instructed to follow the Head Alien to his base, joined by Alan and Walky. However they were shot down over the base, resulting in Alan's death. Storming the base, they were almost killed by the aliens but were saved by Sal at the last minute. She destroyed the control device, thinking that it would stop the abductee army, but it merely prevented the Head Alien's orders from being negated.
Rushing back to Washington in order to stop the abductees from destroying the White House, the small group kept them at bay while Joyce informed the Secret Service. In an arduous battle, Sal ended up killing her boyfriend, Tony, in order to save Walky. With Head Alien's mechs approaching, Joyce returning with a stunning revelation: Walky was also an abductee. The Head Alien quickly fled the scene after Walky reversed the control he had over the abductees.
Aliens Stole My Nachitos!
In later storylines, the amount of angst was lessened. Walky joined Squadron 128 and was trained by Alan, who was mysteriously alive again. Joyce got a puppy and named him Daniel. Walky was weaned off of Nachitos and then fell back to eating them. Joyce turned 21 and was taken out drinking by Jason and Mike. The Aliens stole all stocks of Nachitos.
This led to Walky running straight into a trap, as he went to the Alien HQ to retrieve them. Big Boss sent Squadron 135 and Squadron 253 after him. Offering him a place by his side, he threatened to destroy SEMME HQ unless he complied. After Sal blasted her way into the compound, the Head Alien revealed the two of them were twin brother and sister. Presenting his offer once more, Sal attacked the Head Alien and destroyed the Alien HQ with her alien affinity. The Head Alien fled from the scene, leaving SEMME to take what was left from the rubble.
Hurricane Joyce
In the summer of 2000, the Head Alien was tracked to Miami, FL by SEMME. Squadrons 42, 283, and 128 were quickly sent out to investigate. When it turned out to be another trap, the members of the Squadrons were hooked up to a giant biological computer in order for the Head Alien to retrieve his lost data. Seeing her teammates perish one by one, Joyce snapped and broke free, attacking the Head Alien. Only another personal revelation, that she had mindwiped herself, stopped her at the last moment.
While this was going on, Walky went looking for Joyce's old friends and found her old Roomies, Danny and Joe. Upon discovering Joyce's old crush on Danny, he decided not to tell her in case she remembered her feelings.
After this, there were a few lighter storylines. Joyce learned about the birds and the bees. Walky, Beef and Sal went home to their parents for Christmas. It was here that we introduced to Linda Walkerton, a former SEMME agent who worked with Anthony McHenry, Sr. before the arrival of the Head Alien. This was when Martians were the main threat, which culminated in the death of Linda's close friend David and her resultant genocide of all the Martians at the Martian Embassy. Sal later found out that Linda was discharged from SEMME because of this mental episode.
Monkey Master and Melonpool
During the interval, Head Alien finished the construction of Monkey Master, a giant robot mo-'Ape'. He used the sentient silicon simian to storm SEMME HQ and retrieve the original Martian Spaceship, in order to unlock the ancient Martian secrets and reveal his existence to Denver. SEMME succeeded in stopping him from revealing himself, but he was able to escape with the key to the Martian Embassy and the Sensitive Scanner.
Soon after a short crossover story with Melonpool began as the Head Alien discovered the Steel Duck in the La Brea tarpits and questioned Ralph Zinobop over the power source. Meanwhile, SEMME investigated rumors of an alien presence at the Grammys, which was in fact Mayberry Melonpool. This lead to the two groups joining up to save Ralph from the Head Alien. In the inevitable battle, Ralph used the Dup-O-Matic to create an Anti-version of all the aliens and escape as the two groups of aliens fought.
Anti-Joyce
It was later revealed that it was not just the aliens duplicated by the Dup-O-Matic. Joyce was also duplicated, creating Anti-Joyce, an amoral sex-obsessed woman who proceeded to try and sleep with every male in Squadron 128. When Joyce returned to SEMME HQ she flew into a rage and attacked her doppelganger, eventually killing her with Jason's gun. Joyce was admitted to the medical ward soon after to help adjust, and she later attempted to mind-wipe herself again. Walky stopped her from doing this, resulting in Joyce declaring her hatred of him. Walky started dating Dina Sarazu out of spite, and the relationship quickly sparked off.
After this, there followed a short flashback sequence following Sal and the death of her adoptive parents at the hands of Head Alien, and her initiation into SEMME (see Pre-Year Zero, above). After this, Joyce rejoined Squadron 128, and they went out drinking to celebrate Walky and Sal's 21st birthdays. Walky revealed to Joyce that he was in love with her, and she revealed that she felt the same. Despite this, Walky couldn't break up with Dina.
Great Big Sea
With the key to the Martian Embassy in his hands, the Head Alien quickly made for the site of the hidden base. However, he found that he needed a person with Martian DNA to open the door, and decided to attract SEMME to the area. He lured SEMME recon teams to the Bermuda Triangle, then attacked Squad 37 in order to draw out a full tactical response. Squads 33, 42, 98, 128, and 135- minus Joyce who was replaced by Dina, all headed to the embassy to investigate, where they were ambushed by Monkey Master, who promptly slew Squad 42. The Head Alien then lured Sal away from the group, using a recording of the death of Sal's adoptive parents to trick her. However, the Head Alien was the one who was tricked, as he had actually gotten Walky, dressed as his sister. Offering to use Martian Technology to resurrect Sal's adoptive parents, Walky shrugged it off. In a bizarre twist, he used the resurrection chambers in which they were held as a weight to kill the Head Alien. Such a weight broke the ceiling and caused it to fall towards Big Boss and Dina. Only having enough time to save one, Sal chose to rescue Dina, her brother's girlfriend, as opposed to SEMME's commander.
As Big Boss lay dying, he revealed that he brought the body of his son, Tony, along in the hope he could be resurrected. Squads 128 and 135 made their way into the Embassy alongside Science Team 3, who transported Tony Jr's body, but were followed by Monkey Master, carrying the body of the Head Alien. The dismal attitude was briefly uplifted with the arrival of Joyce, accompanied by the surviving members of Squad 37. This happy moment was broken up by a mysterious being who sealed up the Martian Embassy after expelling Squadrons 135, 128 and the dead body of Anthony McHenry, Sr. from the Resurrection Chamber. He then disappeared from the scene.
Wake
In the aftermath of the death of Big Boss, Sal fled from SEMME. She went back and captured Joe, and returned him to SEMME. When she found out that her mother had become the new Big Boss in her absence, she quit SEMME and discarded her yellow stripe. After this, there were a few more lighter stories. On seeing Joe and having a door slammed in her face by him, Joyce suddenly regained many of her memories for the first time since her mindwipe. Joyce and Joe went out dancing. Walky got the X-TREEEM Mug. Billie and Danny came to visit Walky. Joe was matched up to the super-sexy Squadron 48.
After a while, Jason became worried about Sal's growing absence and enlisted Walky and Joe on a secret mission to find her. With details of her location from an informant, they headed to North Carolina. It turned out that Squadron 135 were tracking Monkey Master and the aliens to the same location. Stopping a cunning plan to steal some scooters, Sal then declared her intention to destroy all alien traces from Earth, including SEMME. Only Walky could stand up to Sal and the two of them fought a bloody battle. Only when Monkey Master escaped did Sal leave to chase after him.
Stalemate
After this, Joyce visited her parents with Joe. Walky revealed how he killed the Head Alien to Dina. Joyce bet Walky that he couldn't be sensible and responsible, and lost. Dina, tired of Walky's immature nature, broke up with him. The Wanderer augmented the Monkey Master to maintain the balance between them and SEMME. Then, Joyce walked in on Joe and Squadron 48... exercising and reverted to her Anti-Joyce self in order to attract him back. However Joe refused, determined not to impurify her and hurt her. Only Walky could offer her words of support when, as Joyce cursed herself for loving a man who didn't have the courage to call her beautiful, gave us the infamous "It's the rain" speech. Seeing this, Dina attempted to gain sympathy off of Mike, to little avail.
Culmination
This led us directly into the longest storyline since Year Zero, as the resurrection of Head Alien finished inside the Martian Embassy. Released from his prison, he quickly took the largest guns and blasted open an exit, meeting Sal. At this point the resurrected Tony, still under Head Aliens control from Year Zero, attacked Sal as the Head Alien boarded a Martian vessel and headed for Denver with as many goodies as he could carry. Here he announced his plans for Global Domination and starting attacking buildings.
Big Boss quickly scrambled every squadron available, and Squadron 128 were the first on the scene. The fight between Tony and Sal reached the top of the craft, and Tony fell straight into the firing line of SEMME soon after and began fighting them. This left Sal and the Head Alien alone to fight, until SEMME jets fired upon the craft and Joyce returned to the Martian ship. Sal quickly turned to fighting Joyce instead, only to lose to her because of her blinding rage.
When a SEMME ship scored a crippling hit upon the ship, it ended up veering out of control and crashing into SEMME HQ. Inside the HQ, Joyce and the Head Alien headed for the holding chambers only to meet Sal there with the Power Booster Rod. Using it to its full use, North America turned yellow as she threatened to destroy everyone she hated.
In order to defuse the situation, Head Alien dropped a bombshell, that her mother had been framed for the Martian genocide. Sal revealed that Alan was in fact an alien in a mechanical body-suit. Yet this didn't stop Sal as she fired at Alan and Dina, and she continued to threaten genocide until Walky returned with her ex-boyfriend, Danny Wilcox - the only thing in the whole of North America who wasn't yellow.
Sal could handle being dishonest to SEMME, but she couldn't be dishonest to him and broke down, dropping the Power Booster Rod. As Danny comforted Sal, and with Joyce - having belatedly remembered Danny on seeing him - more angry at Sal for this than the rest of the events put together; SEMME attended to the situation. When it was thought all was safe, "He" appeared. The Wanderer, angry with the abuse that had been done with the Martian relics this day, arrived to deal retribution.
Although Squadron 128 attempted to assault "The Cheese", they were quickly and violently thrown back. As The Cheese approached the Head Alien, he was attacked by Sal, whose vision was now clear, a balance of logic and emotion. Even she could not defeat him, not without resorting to a lethal blast of the Power Booster Rod that incapacitated both her and The Cheese. As SEMME dealt with the fallout, The Cheese mysteriously vanished thanks to Alan saying a keycode. The battle done, Walky visited Dina's hospital room and met Joyce there. Comforting his anger at Sal, the two of them embraced and finally kissed.
Brave New World
After this brutally dramatic storyline that finally united Walky and Joyce, it was time for a few strings to wrapped up. SEMME came under fire for their mishandling of the alien threat by Bart O'Ryan, and Joyce went on television to defend SEMME. A brief "No Punch!" fad spread through Squadron 128. Sal was jailed for five years after pleading guilty to six counts of attempted murder. Jason was suspended from SEMME after it was revealed that his ID was used to fly the plane that crashed the Martian Vessel, and he later escaped from the compound. Walky was made leader of Squadron 128 in his absence. Joyce and Walky went out dancing, although Walky was at first reluctant.
Danny started visiting Sal in prison, which angered Billie. Jason tried to find out why he framed by his father. Dina began to keep Mike drunk so he would become amiable and like her. This was ruined when Mike sobered up and revealed a new anger side because of her deceit. Joe, tired of Joyce and Walky being the resident abstinence couple, locked them in a room and told them to get naked. This was later regarded as a bad idea by the couple and they decided not to listen to Joe.
Escape
At the opening of 2003, Jason returned in order to free Sal from jail. He revealed that her actions were not of her own free will, but a result of brainwashing by a third party. Yet Sal was determined to pay her time, until he told her that they were now likely to go after Walky. Allowing Jason to "kidnap" her, she broke free of the building. Afterwards, Alan was kidnapped by Head Alien in order to gleam information on The Cheese. On Walky's first mission as leader, Squadron 128 was to go and save him. Walky tried several techniques to gain his teammates respect as their leader, with no luck. Joyce, tired of Walky being the lazy comic relief, revealed that Walky had been on the Honor Roll in High School. This spurred Walky to actually be a dynamic leader and stormed the base in order to free Alan. Causing the ocean to flood into the base, the team quickly broke into the main chambers. As Head Alien and Monkey Master fled the scene with their new knowledge, Squadron 128 used the mechs to escape.
Meanwhile, Jason and Sal are still on the run from the authorities. Suffering from a bullet wound, Sal suggests that they visit an old friend of hers - Mary. Thanks to her Doctor husband, Mary helped Sal out, then called the police on her later. Joyce and Walky visited her parents, and her mother tried to get them to sleep together. However they felt too pressurized and instead choose to wait for the right moment. Joe tried to get Dina to be more social, and failed.
Faith and Science
In spring of 2003, a crossover between Fans! and It's Walky! began with the cast of F! being transported to the Walkyverse. Here, they quickly found the attention of the Head Alien, SEMME and The Cheese. In order to get them back, Mist ripped a hole between the two universes and brought them back - for a price. Despite Dina's hard work in researching the extra-dimensional visitors, she was kept off the project and fell into a depression. Seeking solace in alcohol, she ended up sleeping with Mike. Leaving her the night after, Walky nearly fought him but was stopped by Dina. Joyce decided to set a date for pre-marital hanky panky with Walky.
The Best I Could Do
In New York City, Jason and Sal arrive at their destination, the American HQ of JFO. Here they meet Penny, an old flame of Jason and his fathers best agent. She revealed the truth about JFO and Jason, that they are trespassers from an alternate Earth with anonymity from The Cheese. She then proceeds to try and capture the duo and they flee from the building. At the same time, Squadron 135 is approaching the origin point of JFO's breach in London, so JFO decide to pay SEMME HQ a visit.
Meanwhile, Joyce and Walky are getting ready for their big date. This is interrupted by Sal and Jason crashing the HQ, followed closely behind by JFO. Attacking Alan first, they quickly mindwipe everyone around, only to be stopped by Walky and others. Other agents are also assigned to science laboratories to wipe all traces of JFO and extra-dimensional research. Determined to save her research, Dina attacks the two agents and take a bomb away from the computers. However she gets shot at by the agents and escapes to the Steel Glass chamber, locking herself inside - with the bomb.
As Walky and Mike storm into the labs, they find they are just too late. The bomb explodes and kills Dina, sending Walky into a blinding rage at Mike. Only the return of Joyce stopped him short of totally paralyzing Mike. This allowed JFO and Penny to regroup and hold Joyce hostage, and Walky volunteered to be mindwiped for her freedom. Taking the offer, it turns out that Walky has developed an immunity over the years and attacks the JFO agents. With Sal and Jason returning to the scene, Jason passes Joyce the Power Booster Rod so she can call The Cheese.
As The Cheese arrives and discovers the presence of the extra-dimensional intruders, JFO and Penny make a hasty retreat back home. Leaving SEMME to clean up, The Cheese also leaves. Later, Jason and Sal reveal the reason that JFO were so desperate to erase their presence, as they were the ones who had framed Linda for the Martian Genocide. She assigned Mike to Squadron 82 and replaced him with Robin from the same Squadron. On arriving back to London, Penny cleaned up loose ends by killing Dargon Chesterfield and assuming command.
Role Reversal
Robin had a rocky introduction to the most infamous Squadron, with her hyperactivity rubbing most people the wrong way. She was disappointed by the immature treatment that the group gave her, until she was distracted by a candy bar. Sal decided to pay Danny a visit, but ended up meeting his girlfriend, Billie. After a small catfight, she decided to leave him alone, impressed with the lengths Billie would go to protect Danny. She also had a small angst competition with Jason, and surprisingly Jason won. He revealed that he had been abandoned by his father because he was born inside the Walkyverse, and was detectable by The Cheese. After making up, they left for London.
Joe started an internet relationship with a woman and finds he is becoming attracted to her despite never seeing her. Beginning to suspect she is Robin, he tries to get to know her better, only to find she really does have little depth. At the same time, Walky is slowly becoming more interested in Joyce's faith, wondering whether it means Dina is happy in Heaven. When Joyce states that she wouldn't go to Heaven because Dina was an atheist, he angrily tells her to leave. Joyce desperately searches for answers, but even a confrontation with The Cheese yields few truths, as he tells her that her hope and faith is balanced by patience.
On a mission in Canada to investigate an odd temporal anomaly. Squadron 128 investigates the local school and discovers the Head Alien has frozen The Cheese in time using a universe-twisting gun. When Walky breaks it in mid-beam, the gun causes Joyce, Walky, the Head Alien, Monkey Master and Sensitive Scanner to have their genders inverted. Escaping the school to regroup with the rest of Squadron 128, they decide to infiltrate the school again using the lurid green school uniforms.
As "Jayce", "Walkie" and Tony distracted "Hedy Alien", Robin and Joe tried to unfreeze the Cheese. This hit a snag when Head Alien revealed Tony was the first abductee, and he had brainwashed him into attacking his own mother. Getting knocked down a floor by Monkey Mistress, they return to find that Joe is nearly done. He is only impeded by the collapsing integrity of reality thanks to overuse of the gun. As the mathematical backbone of the universe breaks down, Joe seems to fix The Cheese. The Cheese then reveals that the Head Alien is "gone" (supposedly meaning that The Cheese can't sense him anymore). (Storyline: Anomalie)
Destiny
The USS Destiny, a spaceship built by SEMME and the USA government, launched into space. Built by Joe whilst he resisted his feelings for a certain girl, the spaceship was designed to be the last hope in case of a Martian invasion. Talking to Robin and her former Squadmates, he talks about his feelings with them, leading Robin to walk out. It turns out that Robin's father slept around, so he tries to to patch over their differences and be friends with her by inviting her to see a movie with Billie and Danny. Getting back from the movie, Joe gets an e-mail from his internet girlfriend and finds out her name is Rachel. He mistakenly thinks this is Robin's former Squadmate. (Storyline: Destiny)
Sal and Walky have a... fight over his status with Joyce, as he has become depressed over visions of the future that depict him and everyone else dying at Martian hands. Sal convinces him to make her happy in the meantime, and promises to change that future. She also ended up sleeping with Tony that night. The next day, it is announced on television that Joyce killed her clone and that Bart O'Ryan intends to prosecute her for this. (Storyline: Ridin' Fences)
Unfinished Business
The final storyline begins, as the USS Destiny reaches the edges of the Solar System. When it encounters the Martian Fleet, it is boarded and it's crew interrogated and made into zombie slaves. At the same time, Squadron 37 were in the Bermuda Triangle searching for the Anti-Head Alien. Due to his botch resurrection, Hooper turns into a zombie as well at this time, and begins a bloody - and clichéd - attack upon his Squadmates.
At the same time, Joyce and Walky are meeting with Bart O'Ryan in New York, where it is revealed that her former roommate Sarah is helping O'Ryan out. He goes on to reveal that SEMME has been shut down that morning due to continued scandal and the lack of perceived threat by the Aliens. Now civilians, Joyce and Walky leave for a hotel. Joe arranges a midnight meeting with his online girlfriend, and finds out that she is not who he thought.
Amazed by their new-found freedom from responsibility, Walky proposes to Joyce with a Chicken Ring, and suggests they run away and hide. Overcome with passion, they end up finally having sex. Meanwhile, Joe is having a hard time overcoming his horndog reputation in real life as his internet girlfriend rejects him because of it. However, Robin persuades her to give him a second chance. Back at New York, Walky and Joyce wake up and try to find a new hotel. On the way, Sarah reveals that SEMME will be attacked that evening. Joyce suggests flying there in a plane, but Walky has a slightly different idea.
The next evening, SEMME is continuing removals when it is hit by a heavy blast. Sending Squadrons 48 and Daisy outside, Linda heads to the labs with the rest of Squadron 135. Robin ends up running out of the compound and saves two soldiers, as JFO destroys the front of the building and enters SEMME HQ. Daisy reveals that she and the rest of Squadron 135 have joined up with JFO by killing Mandy. Penny tells them they will obey JFO, and shoots Grace. At this time, Joyce and Walky arrive on the scene in their SEMME Mechs, and get Mayberry Melonpool to fire the Steel Duck's G.R.A.I.S.E. cannon at JFO. Wiping out most of their forces, they make their way to the entrance.
Arriving at the HQ, they attack Penny but are shot by Daisy. Grace tells them to go save Linda and Guns who are with the rest of Squadron 135. Meanwhile, Linda and the rest have found Professor Doc and Alan, and tell him to use the "Antidote", only for Beef to break Doc's neck.
King Of The Road
Hiding under a stairwell, Billie calls Danny and tells him she has gone into SEMME HQ to try and get a big scoop, only to end up in the frontline. Sal spots her and gets her to fetch the antidote from the labs, whilst she tackles Beef. Using the antidote on Jim, Billie passes the dart gun to Guns, who fires it at Beef. It turns out he isn't brainwashed, and kills Guns. He came willingly to JFO, disgruntled with the Walkerton-run SEMME, as Penny mockingly reveals.
With a captive audience, she describes the true history of SEMME and the abductees. Killed by JFO, then resurrected and framed for their genocide, Linda had decided to take her revenge. With the help of the Head Alien, the abductees were augmented in the hope of defeating the inevitable Martian reaction to the genocide. In order to discover the abductees, Dargon Chesterfield established SEMME and established former agent Anthony McHenry, Sr. as the Big Boss. All of the past, even with the Head Alien's betrayal and own plans, still resulted in this conclusion.
Rejecting the offer to join JFO, Joyce and the rest attack Beef, but only Tony can hold his own. Even he stops short, the situation reminding him of when he killed his mother under brainwashing. Only Daisy, free of her brainwashing, steps to kill Beef, cursing him for all deaths she has caused before collapsing with her pistol empty. Penny, attacking Jason, appeals to Sal. She attacks Penny and snatches her gun, but it is empty and Penny slices Sal's arm with a knife. Ignored, Jason takes out his own gun and kills Penny. Tired of Sal not being able to understand what he's doing, he tells her his biggest secret, that he is in love with her.
Interrupting the moment, Alan reveals that the Martians are coming and that JFO have shipped Martian technology to all major Earth cities. Banking on their destruction during the invasion, JFO would have then used the abductees to defeat the Martian and then conquer Earth. All of this should have prompted the Cheese to appear by now. Meanwhile, Danny is determined to save Billie, only to discover that Joe and Rachel has turned it into a grouchy space-car that is undetectable by Martian ships. Convincing Joe to let him come, they launch into space with Howard stowed away in the boot.
Encircling the compound outside, Sal and Jason talk over their feelings whilst Joyce and Walky get in their mechs. Suddenly, a blinding light hits the compound. The Martian troops have arrived. At the same time, Joe and company have reached the Martian Mothership. Going intangible like The Cheese, they enter the Mothership, and are attacked by the zombified crew of the USS Destiny. Back on Earth, Lith has return to SEMME HQ with the Anti-Head Alien and the head of Hooper. Deliver Anti-Head Alien to Tony, she goes off to find a resurrection chamber for her fallen Squadmates. Charging over the horizon, the Martian drones swarm across the sky and attack the abductees, destroying Joyce's mech. Saved by Walky, he carries her as the drones chase them.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Finally, the Cheese appears. Stopping the drones, he announces that tonight is his night of destiny. Yet he is weaker than usual, for he shares his body with another - the Head Alien. Taking over the body, the Head Alien sends the Martian drones onto the Walky-mech and attacks Sal. The mech crashes to earth, amputating Walky's arm in the process. Head Alien also takes control of his Anti-self, and uses Tony to attack Sal. Saving Sal, Jason tells her to attack the Head Alien. Moving across the battlefield, they end up poised underneath a Martian battleship. Reaching the Head Alien finally, Sal attacks him only for him to drop the battleship on top of Jason and Tony.
With the technology given to him by The Cheese, Alan goes intangible and is launched towards The Cheese by Monkey Master. Wiping Head Alien's soul from The Cheese, the body of The Cheese crashes to the ground and leaves Head Alien powerless and faced with Sal. As Sal stabs Head Alien in the back, Walky and Joyce are attacked by the Martian drones, who kill Walky and Mike, and attack Joyce. In the ether, Walky meets up with Ruth and Dina, and is instructed by Alan to go back in time to the temporal anomaly. Here, his soul inhabits the Cheese alongside Head Alien, causing his then-self to have visions of the future up to his death.
He learns of The Cheese's original host. David, the friend of Linda whose death prompted her to storm the Martian Embassy, was killed by JFO in order to frame Linda. His resurrection chamber malfuctioned, sending his soul back thousands of years into The Cheese. He resolved to help save Linda from JFO in the past, but became stoic, more machine than man. Using her jetpack to escape, Joyce flies to the fallen body of The Cheese, whilst Tony lifts up the rubble to free Jason. He sacrifices his life for Jason's and joins his parents in death.
Walky wakes up as The Cheese and stops the Martian troops. Retrieving Daniel and the Power Booster Rod from Washington D.C., he uses the PBR to wipe the Martians from the sky as call for help. At the same time, Ultra Car returns from space after destroying the Martian mothership and defeating the zombie crew. There, they picked up Phil The Janitor and escaped. Robin returns with Lith and the remains of a Resurrection Chamber, and Joe announces that he and Rachel and rebuild one from the remains.
Epilogue
Over the course of nine months, Walky returns to his normal state at Rosenthal Robotics. The President decides to pardon Joyce for her murder of Anti-Joyce. Jason is chosen to lead a crack team of agents to defeat Monkey Master and what is left of the Alien technology.
It's Walky! $100 Theatre
After the offical end of It's Walky, a short story began which updated ever Saturday if David Willis got $100. Covering Jason's crack team, they face up against Monkey Master and the Electric Man, with former SEMME agent Marcie and the oddly-familiar Machete. With the help of Sal and Ultra Car they defeat them, but Jason breaks up with Sal in anger with her illegal interference and her lack of faith in his abilities. At the very end, we find out that Machete is actually Bobby Walkerton, the son of Joyce and Walkerton from the future. When the Head Alien-II threatens to kill his parents, he vanishes from the scene, seemingly proving his threat true.
Critical Acclaim
It's Walky was one of the first comics to be hosted on Keenspot. It quickly gained acclaim not just because of its high profile but also because it freaking rocks (Wiki neutrality my ass).
