Dargon Chesterfield was the founder of JFO and the father of Jason Chesterfield. He fled his home dimension in order to escape The Wanderer, and created the Power Booster Rod in the process.

History

Born into a world ruled by the Martians and policed by the enigmatic Wanderer, Dargon rebelled and refused to comply. Creating a small band of fighters, he was finally able to escape his Home universe and enter the Walkyverse, which he thought to be free of Martian influences. Yet his timetable was interrupted, and he had to do this with his wife heavily pregnant. Leaving his universe was a complicated process, needing an even trade of energy. Hampered by the arrival of the Wanderer upon the scene, the energy was put into a shiny branch, then taken with them to the new universe.

At first it was thought that his son could still be useful. Born in the new universe, his lifeforce would not be a hindrance due to limited technology available here. Yet they found that the Martians and their Wanderer was here as well - hidden, but still a threat. His son would be a neon sign that they were trespassers in this universe, he was not anonymous to the Wanderer. But with a font of wrath, Dargon proposed a way of eliminating the Martians from the face of the Earth.

To start, he killed Linda Mitchell's boyfriend David to make her go to the Martian Embassy with a motive. After she had put David in a resurrection chamber, JFO caught up with her. In the struggle, she was killed and the chamber malfunctioned, inadvertently creating The Wanderer, the reason why JFO were killing the Martians. After she was resurrected by the Martians, Dargon brainwashed her in order to kill them all with the Power Booster Rod.

When Linda and the Head Alien created the abductees, Dargon created SEMME and made Anthony McHenry, Sr. the Big Boss. Over the intervening years, Dargon concentrated his efforts upon finding the powerful children created by the process, then employing them in SEMME. Ignoring his son, Jason Chesterfield, due to his abnormalities, he gained a daughter when Jason left for America. Penny was everything Jason was not, a dedicated member of JFO who quickly learnt everything from him. He established her as his second in command, and she led the operations in New York.

Despite the machinations of the Head Alien, all the abductees were eventually employed by SEMME, and Dargon even made Linda Big Boss after the death of Anthony. He had Sal Walters brainwashed and intended to have her eliminate the Aliens and retrieve the Martian Technology. However, the Head Alien turned his plan on their head, and Sal failed in her mission. Using Bart O'Ryan to get the media to blame SEMME for the attack, he had Sal jailed for five years.

However, under the control of Linda Walkerton, SEMME came too close to discovering the origin of JFO, and so Dargon had Penny and his agents mindwipe everyone at SEMME HQ and destroy all evidence. Failing in her mission and believing (perhaps correctly) that Dargon would have her killed for it, Penny's psychotic nature lead her to kill him first and take control of JFO.
